Pastry Corner

There's this quaint place near the Nal Stop traffic signal. They have a pretty good variety of bakery items and at a very reasonable price. I've been there only during the night hours when almost all the stock is about to get over but can still find my favourite chocolate balls to savour. Though the pastries, brownies, pattice are good too. If you do not concentrate, you'll definitely miss this place!

Wadeshwar - Nal stop, Pune

With an already overflowing branch at F.C. road, they opened another one here at Nal Stop. Essentially outdoor seating, they have a few tables indoor too. We had to wait for around 10 minutes on a weekend before we could get a vacant table for ourselves. This outlet is more comfortable and enjoyable than its counterpart at f.c. road. There's a lot of chaos, hustle and bustle at f.c. road Coming to the food.... They have maintained the quality and quantity of food over the years. We have been their customers for over 8 years now. They provide ample sambhar and chutney at no extra cost; this is something worth mentioning when you have a hubby who just loves sambhar. The ambience is not too decorative bit is nice. A pocket friendly place with good food.

Home cake baker

Cakes are a vital part of all the celebrations. With numerous cake shops evolving around me, and having tried almost all of them, I now thought of trying a home Baker as they are becoming equally significant and are much more creative than the commercial outlets. To start with, I ordered a rasmalai cake for my MIL's birthday. The presentation was superb, taste was awesome, delivery was hassle free and payment was done in cash. Rasmalai cake Superb cake baked by Anuja Patil. Post this wonderful experience, I thought of ordering a cake for mother's day. My mum and mother in law both were with us on that day. Fruit cake Anuja again delivered this yummy and good looking fresh fruit cake which was enjoyed by everyone in the house. A very pleasant experience ordering cakes from a home baker.

Pink Turbann

After reading a lot of reviews about this new startup, thought of giving it a try. Had a chat with the owner of this place and told her that I wished to come over for dinner with my family for my kid's birthday. She accepted. We went there for dinner. It is located in a home in one of the lanes in Aundh near medipoint hospital. There was literally no proper seating, or ambience. As I had read so many positive reviews about this place, I still convinced my family to give it a shot. We ordered for chhole bhature and matra kulcha. The taste was good, no doubt, but the service was the worst I have experienced till date. Even to get and extra plate or pickle or onion took forever. Food was served in low quality disposables. It was a huge disappointment for me and ruined my little one's special day. It makes me think whether the reviews were wrong or is my expectation high? The second option doesn't really seem true, I just wanted to experiment and give a shot at the new outlets ...

A new waffle-cream joint in the neighborhood. They have a few pre-decided options and make your own option too. I tried the rocky road which has a chocolate waffle with chocolate ice cream, Ferrero rocher and chocolate sauce to top it. It looked yummy and tasted delicious. The waffle was a bit warm and tasted somewhat like a brownie. Overall good experience though a bit expensive. Rocky road

Cave fire pizza

After going through a lot of reviews on various platforms, thought of giving a try to this not so old cave fire pizza outlet in pimple Saudagar. We ordered a cheese garlic bread and a farm pizza(Nashville) The cheese garlic bread came with 4 bread pieces, the look was good and taste was good too. Cheese garlic bread The pizza, which was a bestseller according to the outlet owner was a disaster. There was no taste and didn't even look tempting. Overall it came out as a wrong choice for me.
