Flechazo - love at first sight

A lot of reviews, lots of rave, whole lot of planning, big day.... It all finally ended successfully and on a very happy note.

Very newly opened place near Wakad bridge, they are celebrating MediterrAsia. They have different categories of food in their buffet arrangements. Food shots, big O, specials, starters, main course, desserts and the nitrogen ice cream.

So, the occasion was... My birthday! We had booked the table in advance through Zomato and reached Flechazo on time. Being a weekday, we were the first ones to arrive and it wasn't a full house at any point of time.

We were nicely greeted and given a table of our choice. One of the staff members explained us a few things about their different counters/sections.

We started with the food shots. Bite sized stuff on plates moving on a conveyor belt. Green ones for veg and red ones for non veg. The shots were tasty.

Next came the pizza counter, and being the kind I am , went in to din the chef's hat to try my hand there. The guiding chef was quite humble and polite to help me and my daughter with the task. The pizzas came out superb. The adjacent appam counter didn't excite me, but still thought of trying a bite from what hubby ordered from there and neither of us liked it.

We ordered for our veg starters and they flowed effortlessly. The taste was good. They separately got malai paneer, finger fries and smileys for my daughter.

Coming to the main course, the buffer spread was a bit different from the other restaurants serving buffet. Aaj the dishes were flavourful and good in taste. I being a curd fan, enjoyed their curd. I was full by now, but couldn't afford to miss out on the desserts. I tried all the desserts, everything worked well except for a yoghurt mousse and jalebi- it was awful.

Even after all this, I had to go for the nitrogen ice cream. Chef suggested to try the pan ice cream and it was delicious garnished with crushed pan leaf.

The icing on the cake was the birthday celebration. They gave a complimentary cake, did a cute dance and then allowed to cut the cake.

In between, my kid was given a drawing and crayons to colour.

The hospitality was very nice, the food could be improved a bit. But, overall an evening well spent!
