Rasa restaurant

On our way from Kochi to Munnar, we wanted to have something and asked our accompanying tour guide for a good veg place, may be pure veg. He stopped us at Rasa restaurant. They served pure veg south indian dishes. We ordered masala dosa, onion utthapam and coffee. Whole of the preparation was good and the meal was quite filling for almost rest of the day.

Masala milk, new Sanghvi

There's a guy selling masala milk right outside a shop named "Singh" located in New Sanghvi. He made yummy milk with generous toppings of dry fruits and milk cream. The milk could have been more enjoyable had it been a little more hot.

Creme California, F.C. Road

Ice cream is one thing which excites all ages and is one of my favorites. We've been their regular customer for years whenever we go that side of the city. And so, just after having bun maska and chai at goodluck cafe, I was craving for a softy at creme California. My husband was looking at me, chai ke upar ice cream?? But it had come to my mind and I wanted it. So we went to creme California and got a mango butterscotch softy (cone... If someone doesn't understand what a softy is) It was creamy and yummy, very enjoyable. Nothing unique or different, but if you get good taste with good looks that's all that matters to me.

Goodluck cafe

This cafe has been at F.C. Road for ages and has been a favourite with college students and youngsters alike. They are famous for their bun maska and chai, though they do serve a variety of other snacks as well. It was on my list for ages. Went there a few years back, found it too crowded and came back. Now after those few years passed, thought of giving it another try coz I had to taste what's special about them. So, we went there. It was again too crowded with seating all jam packed and large groups standing at all sides of the cafe and enjoying their treats. We waited inside to get a table and got one in around 5-7 minutes. Ordered bun maska and chai. The bun was huge with ample butter spread inside, but no sugar and not grilled. It was okay in taste is what I would say. The tea was great but priced in the higher side. I won't say it was bad, but I thought it's popularity is over hyped.

Namah, kalewadi

This is one pure veg restaurant that we've been going to since years and luckily it never disappoints. I generally don't like to repeat restaurants so as to try out new options. So, it started with promotions and reviews of Universal BBQ all over the social media and it attracted me to try it out. Moreover their 50%off offer was luring enough. We planned to give it a shot and booked a table for Saturday. The booking didn't get confirmed and we got to know that quite late in Saturday. Still hubby insisted on walk-in and I agreed, but was not keen though. While driving to BBQ , we were able to connect with them through phone and understood they are jam packed not just for Saturday lunch but for the entire weekend. This took us to our all time favourite Namah. The ambience is soothing and their entire food preparation is just delicious. They have a set buffet menu for the weekends. They had tomato soup and manchow soup and both of them were just yummy. My 6-month old relished t...
