Up South, Aundh

Up South is an economical outlet serving both North Indian and South Indian dishes. They have a variety of combos for both and have individual dishes as well. The taste of the food isn't that great, but isn't bad either. This place works on self service. They have Indore and outdoor seating, but outdoor seating isn't available for obvious reasons during rainy season. Up South is located at the corner of d.p. road in aundh, opposite Domino's, a little ahead of d-mart.

Nawab Asia, Baner

Image
We wanted to go out for a weekend dinner. After searching a lot of options and going through the reviews online, finalised Nawab Asia located in Baner. We reserved a table on call and reached the place on time. The restaurant in located on balewadi high Street. There are a lot of restaurants and cafe all around the place and have a common parking for all of them with valet service. We entered the restaurant and were given a nice place with sofa seating. I prefer sofa seating as it's easier and comfortable for my 1 yr old. The place is nicely done and has a beautiful interior. The manager and the staff are helpful and attentive. We started placing our order. For soups, we ordered tomato soup, which was synthetic and disaster in taste while the manchow soup was good in taste. For starters, we had ordered for peeli mirchi Ka paneer tikka and that wasn't great either. Still, moving ahead we ordered for main course that included paneer makhani , veg bhuna masala and bread basket. T...

Cafe creamy nuts, pimple nilakh

We were in wakad and wanted to have desserts. Pulled out my phone to see what's saved on the list and saw cafe creamy nuts in pimple nilakh. It was saved on the phone as I had seen some post on FB with yummy looking pictures. Tried searching the name on Google maps and it showed an outlet in the same locality so thought of following the maps to the nearby outlet but couldn't find it. We then followed the route for the cafe located in pimple nilakh. We reached there, to find a quaint looking place. Ordered a sizzling brownie with vanilla ice cream as a safe option. The guy took time to prepare , and the dessert looked okay and was average in taste too. Not upto the expectations!

High on Bollywood

Image
An a-la-carte Bollywood themed restaurant , opened on the dutt Mandir road of wakad in Pune. The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of an under construction building. Beautifully done interiors with pictures and famous dialogues from a number of Bollywood movies of all the generations. All the items on the menu are named in bollywood style too. The indoor seating is comfortable and spacious. They have an outdoor seating arrangement as well , which was closed owing to the rainy season. We ordered soups, starters, main course... All was veg and delicious. The service was great. There were Bollywood themed props available to click pictures.
